Okay so..

I didn’t have internet when I got home. And now I have to piece together what happened in the following days from my last article. I failed so miserably at this experiment, it makes me sad.

Day 8

Today is the day we’re finally going to take on our fancy meals for each other. He’s making pulmini which are these delicious meat filled dumpling things you dip in delicious sauce. I decide I’m going to make Baklava.. which I’ve made once before.. and kick ass at it. Haha.

I set up all my shit in the kitchen. Laptop with recipe and music and all the things I need. I’m truckin away, having no issues with the phyllo dough or anything. .. I assemble it.. bake it. I even make the fucking amazing sauce.. which was amazing. It bakes, I pour, I leave it the fuck alone.

End result? I was too scared to pour all the sauce on it and I’m pretty sure I didn’t use enough butter. It was dissapointing at best. Shame on me.

Mike makes dough from scratch, and makes all these dumplings. And they are fucking amazing. Holy shit I need to cook more, it has been far too long. (obviously)

And.. I think we went drinking that night too, but I don’t exactly remember and I don’t have photos to remind me. I failed that day.

K more soon

Days 6 and 7

Okay, so I’ve been slacking and I know it! I just got back to mike’s house last night so I’ve finally gotten all of my pictures onto my laptop and I will be uploading them soon. I will re-edit my posts to include the links to the galleries.

So, day 6 I get kidnapped by one of my best friends, Jimmy. We head to Alpine Tavern out in bum fuck no where (near my mom’s house) and we start drinking and playing some pool. I see people I haven’t seen in years and proceed to have an excellent time.

After we were done there we drove into Junction City and went to Bugsy’s, and that’s when the serious drinking really started. I was singing Karaoke and making sure I was drinking enough whiskey to not remember what the fuck I was doing. I don’t remember leaving the bar, I don’t remember the drive home, I remember walking into my mom’s house and passing out. Yeah. Day 6 has a lot of holes.

On Day 7 I hung out with my Mom and Olivia all morning. That was awesome. Very good times. Around noon-1pm my really really REALLY old friend Chris came and picked me up from my Mom’s house and we drove down to Monroe to get lunch at the Long Branch Bar and Grill. Chris’s parents owned it back when we both lived in Monroe (read: haven’t seen him in 8 years so it’s been a while)

We start eating like two hours after we get there. The rest of the time we’rejust playing a mean game of catch up and having a few drinks. Mike meets us there around 4 and we had just finished eating. We stay for about another hour then Chris takes off. Mike and I have another drink then head to my house to pick up my shit then go to a mexican food place in Corvallis for some late dinner/margaritas. It is cinco de mayo after all.

So we do that, get home around 10 and decide YEAH WERE GOING TO DRINK WOOO..

We both open a beer, drink maybe half of it, and decide we’d both rather just go to bed. Hahaha.

Day 5

Well so far Day 5 has been my most uneventful day of vacation. It was pretty nice, i’m not gonna lie. I got to my mom’s house around 3-4pm after amanda picked me up at Mike’s. Ronaka and I sat around drinking (just like old times <3) and I got to play lots and lots with my beautiful niece, Olivia. I found out I have been 86’ed from calling her Oli, which upsets me. But I’m not too worried about it. At this point in her life she doesn’t know who I am, and I’m just going to call her Oli when she gets older. HAha. >:)

So yes, quite uneventful, good family bonding time. I got to hang with my lil bro too. I’m hoping today that I can get out to Coburg or Springfield to see everyone but I don’t know how that’s going to go. I don’t drive, and even if I did I don’t have a vehicle at my disposal. My mom also lives out in the boonies, so that makes it a little bit harder for family to come out too. I guess we’ll see what happens. Pictures on wednesday when I get back to my loverboy’s house.

xoxo

Day 3 and 4

Sorry for the slacking on writing in my blog. Day 3 was not completely uneventful, but I slacked soooo bad on taking pictures. I only took a total of 30 when each night I’ve been downloading over 300 off of my camera.

Day 3 Photos

So, Day 3 Mike and I shit kicked it, watched Avatar in HD which was AWESOME. We went to Old World Deli which brews beer (very good beer I might add) and then went to see Mike Birbiglia. Very funny man. Then we drank and passed out..  haha

Day 4 Photos

DAY 4:

What a day. We wake up early (for mike) and late (for me) at around 7:30. We dilly dally and be unproductive for a while. Then I make a totally kick ass breakfast of french toast, scrambled eggs, and bacon. nom nom.

After we finish up my most excellent breakfast, we both open a beer and decide what we’re going to do with our day. Yeah. 9:30am and we’re already working on our beer. Hahaha. Have I mentioned how much I love this man?

So while we’re sipping our beer’s we try to figure out what we’re going to do and for some reason I bring up Enchanted Forest. I’ve driven by it hundreds of times but had never gone. I told him I wanted to check out the village but refused to go on ANY of their rides, because they looked lie death traps.

I later found out that all those death-trap rides were at Thrillville USA (next door to enchanted forest) and that it’s closed down now because the rides were literally death traps.

ANYWAYS. So we both immediately think it’s a good idea. We finish our drinks and then pack up in the truck and head to Salem. I figured it would be mostly crappy but from what I had seen from the highway there would be some good photo-ops. I was right.. and wrong. Right because what I saw from the highway did give a good idea of what to expect. There were no good photo-ops, just FUCKING AWESOME ZOMG LOVE THIS PLACE photo-ops. I want to live there. All the time. If I ever have property, I’m making it look like this place.

So, lots of photos and good times. The park is in no way over priced for entry, rides, or food. It’s like disney land without the commercialism. So much fun. I really hope I can go back before I leave. It was awesome.  My friend Taylor and I would be running around like 6 year olds if we were let lose in that place.

So after we leave we decide we’re going to find a barber. We find a place called “Best Little Hair House” and we know that this is our place. We make a semi-appointment, then head to the bar next door.

We make friends with this dude named Patrick, and start drinking with him. We leave to get our hair done then half way there we’re like “Fuck this lets go bac to the bar.”

So we do. Drinks drinks drinks.. okay. Time to go to a diff bar. So we go to Albany and stop at 2 bars there. First bar is awesome! Then we decide to go into the bowling ally bar and things just go downhill from there.

Talk about a shit storm. I am one jealous whorebag when I drink a lot. Like I am a straight horses-ass when I turn into that person. Oh well. We leave the bar and suddenly we’re all peachy keen again, which is good, but we both said some legitimately stupid things and we’re over it. lol.

Uh. The end?

See you tomorrow!
