Reus!

Have you played it?

I’ve given up on Kerbal Space Program. If I could re-gift it to someone else I would. I can definitely see how it can be fun for some people, but unfortunately I’m not one of them. I will stick to my little simulator/rpg style games. Besides, as my brother so eloquently puts it, the other games I own are just for me to scroll past before I play Terraria. Sadly, that’s true.

BUT

That is not the point of this post! I’ve been playing Reus again lately. At first I was a bit put off by the timed session thing, but they have a great tutorial and it’s pretty fun to play. I do get frustrated when I’m SO SO SO FUCKINJG CLOSE to beating a goal and then my dudes to go sleep. I wish there was a button that would give me just a few extra minutes. That would probably take the fun out of it.

If you haven’t played Reus though, I definitely recommend it. It’s a fun God-style simulator. Sort of. If there’s a demo out there, find it, download it. Or watch some video’s. It’s strangely addicting and after 25 hours I’m still finding new things and new ways to play.

Entertainment for 25 hours? Totally worth $9.99 to me. Check it out on Steam!

I really need to start playing some multi-player games. Any recommendations?

Also, I’ve been totally swooning over Dave Thomas. The musician. Who kills it at accordion.

Enjoy!

So Much Neglect!

I’ve been in a slump. A serious slump.

For what feels like forever.

I’m finally pulling out of it. I got a job at a large local call center.. It’s not my ideal job, but it’s a job, and I get a paycheck.

Still playing accordion a lot. Slowly getting better and better but as good as I want to be! I’m having a hard time finding classical music transposed for accordion and I struggle to transpose it myself.

Happy Sunday? Meh.

Accordion, Bracelets, and Cowboys.

I’m going to keep practicing and try to get a video up of me playing! Or struggling to play.. or just button mashing. Whatever it ends up being it’s sure to be entertaining!

It’s a shame that wasn’t legit eh? I’d be playing that shit all daaaaaaaaaaaaay.

I’m still spitting out bracelets. I took a break while I was at my Mom’s house (the last few days) because it’s just too damn hard to string everything out and then pack it up between work time. At home I can just leave it strung out. Hahaha. I’m sure M just loooooves that I’ve taken over the dining room table and the spare bedroom.

Now for the part that probably grabbed your attention. COWBOYS.

Rawr!

But really though, this little snippet of the post is about my experience watching Brokeback Mountain. Now, before your panties get in a twist, I promise this isn’t some gay bashing rant. Yes, there were parts that made me uncomfortable but that was because I was watching it with my sister and I’ve been lusting after Jake Gyllenhaal since Donnie Darko. If you’ve seen the movie, you know how sexual it is.

What bothered me is that I don’t see what was so damn special about it. I spent over two hours waiting for something substantial to happen.

It never came. I spent two hours watching boy/boy sex and boy/girl sex in an awkward silence with my sister.

Fun times.

Accordion!

Hey Readers!

I have had a couple of very exciting days! I went to my Aunts house for a super ninja surprise visit. I live so close to her and I’ve really been neglecting visit time. Between driving out to my sisters’ house (50mi round trip) and being crafty (read: recluse) I’ve just not made the time to go hang. So I popped in and we got to talking about me helping her clear her attics and sell all of her craft supplies and antiques online. I asked her about her accordions that she has and she says she pulled hers down and has started playing again!

I immediately get excited and tell her how I always wanted her to teach me but I was never close by. We make plans for me to return on Monday and we pull out her smaller accordion and I have my first lesson.

I have had a blast practicing and hording information online. Pics tomorrow! Back to practice.
