Painting and more Painting

That’s what I’ve been doing lately. I’ve gotten my upstairs craft room pretty well set up for not having furniture. I just need throw pillows and it would be a regular Taj Mahal. Ha. Just kidding. The floor isn’t bad though. I can stretch out and move around as needed which is good…

But back to painting, that’s what I’m up to. I’ve put away the acrylics for now due to the sheer amount of frustration they’re causing me. I just can’t seem to get them to do what I want them to do. What happened? I don’t know.

I’ve moved back to my Gauche. Opaque water colors.. YAY. No, also incredibly frustrating. But at least I’m having fun with it and it takes the work out of washing out my brushes every single time I use them. I can just rinse them out and call it good. If I don’t do a good enough job the paint is water soluble so I don’t destroy my brushes.. or actually my flooring if I happen to make a mess.

I would love to upload pictures but alas, I am without a camera! I do have my phone, and you can check my instagram for random shit I’ve been working on.

Also I suck at doing yoga. More on that later.

Silly Rabbit

I feel like a silly rabbit right now. I’ve been scratching my head for days, trying to figure out something fun to do.

I have lots of hobbies! I swear!

Except I’m sick of all of them. I primed old canvases to start painting, I broke out sketch pads. Nothing. I couldn’t force a single damn thing.

The weather hasn’t been agreeable enough to make me go outside and spin poi.

The ukulele kills my fingers and I just can’t be bothered into doing it enough to gain caluses. I know. LAZY.

The horse I’m taking over still has sore feet so I can’t do much with her. Also the weather… is sucky.

Photography? That’d be perfect! If I could find my camera charger. Anyone have a spare canon battery charger..? Email me!

So what did I finally decide to do today after a WEEK of being manic depressed/bored/lonely? Hook up my PC. I’m 100% entertained and happy to have something to do. My blog!

What a fantastic indoor, nerd-out, mind numbing hobby. I feel silly for not doing it earlier. Like the first day I moved into this place.

I’m fighting with the resolution. I have my PC set up in the living room hooked up to my flat screen.. and everything is great! Except I can’t read the text for shit. Every adjustment I make to the text seems to throw the whole resolution off. So it’s all or nothing. Good thing I don’t have to look at my fingers while I type and that red squigly line lets me know if I do any misspelling.

I need something to do. I mean something really awesome. I’m staying the night at my sisters house. She owns a horse that needs work and I eagerly volunteered. We had her feet trimmed today and I got some rather disheartening news. It will be 12 – 18 months before the horses’ (Red) hooves are in peak shape.

Ican do ground work with her for the next six months and maybe light riding after that. It will be fun and a lot of work. But still I feel like I need more hobbies. Little things. I am capable of doing so many things already I feel like a lot of crafts are no longer novel.

Help meeeeee. 😦
